Australian boat owners!
Hi guys,
I recently purchased a 38 Cigarette top gun from Florida on a tri axel trailer.
I have since found that it is going to be nearly impossible to tow in Australia. Also none of the marinas in Victoria will dry store a 38, except peir 35 and they want $12,000 a year to do that!.
I was planning to buy an F350 to tow it.
Any suggestions please?

Try the Offshore Power Boat Club of Australia. They are based in Melbourne. You need to become a member, costs almost nothing and will be your lifeline.

One of the guys was the Australian importer of Cigarettes.
THYCON, might be time to chip in here, your PM is off.

The PM I sent you provided details on which tow vehicles you can use but if you want me to find you one in Sydney, I can. There should be plenty in Melbourne though.
The trailer will be legal once you spend a few dollars to make sure you have the brakes and hitches required here.
Where to store it, I cannot help.

Man I love this website!. Just thought i'd tell you that.
Thanks guys. Also, the boat hasn't moved from Jacksonville. So I appologise to the guys I was speaking to about getting quotes to Los Angeles.
Apparently a ship is leaving from Jacksonville next week, so i think it might be on that.
Kubcat, thank you for your help, but I didn't get your email re the tow vehicles, could you please resend it? Re Thycon, It was funny I met him the other day by accident...he is seeing what he can do.
I will call your man John and speak with him for advise.
Also dude sweet, will be in touch in the next 6 weeks, will be back in usa.
Finally, I'm going to store it in my factory which I was planning to do originally. I was trying to get marina's to store it as I was told I couldn't tow it. I have an investment property on the gold coast which is waterfront canal frontage so If I can't use it here, I will wait till I move up north and use it there.
Thanks again
