Not familiar with a Scout. What size? How did price compare? Thanks.

I had whalers all my life. Wanna talk about value, it will hold better then any boat on the market. I can bank on it, I had a 81 whaler bought it for 4500, kept it 4 years sold it for 5000, Any questions just ask, These are UNSINKABLE!!! scout and carolina skiff are knock off whalers just an imitation nothin like the real one......

sorry the old roven roven in the wheale is heave and old the scout has bi and tri glas and no woven roven full foam

They're a Brunswick boat now. They still have the reputation, which means a lot for resale, but I doubt they're any better than a comparable boat from another manufacturer.

13 Sport, Best boat I ever bought my kids. If you dont have a whaler in my neighborhood you are not a "real boater". They just seem to have a charm to them that is just unmistakeable. It seems everybody respects a whaler for whatever its use.

They are very well built tough as nails and hold their value and yes they are expensive. I think of it like a Volvo for the water.

My dad's GF bought an old one, early 80's I think, recently. 13' with a 35 hp on the back. It's a sweet little boat.

But for the price of the big ones, i'd get something else.
