Pachanga 22 Potential

I am hoping some of you more experienced gofast boaters can end a p*ssing contest! This got started in an honest way. Here is my question:

Can an 87 Pachanga 22 with a Bravo(Xdimension higher than the alpha) with 600+HP run more than 88 on GPS?

I will say(for you saftey conscience people) I didn't build the boat to run that fast but I am certain if ya have the balls it will do more. I built the boat to get up and go in the midrange(which it does).I wanted a dependable boat with some power with a solid hull!

Opinions Please! Thanks

my guess is you should be close... to 80... in my opinion.

Not sure on a Pachanga but I have a friend with a 22 Velocity, i believe it is an 88 or 89, with a 555 in it. Standoff box and some other goodies. It runs up past 88 on GPS. We don't really know what the 555 has in it as he bought the boat used. It came from Indianapolis and he thought the engine was built by Steve Schmidt.

A 22 velocity will smoke a 22 pachanga with similar power. Much lighter and better bottom for speed.

Used to be one on my lake that ran 91, don't know what hp he was running though. It was a great sleeper. JC

I know a 22 with a 500hp clone that runs 82 gps.

I would say no. I also would also guess around 80. Does it run a consistant 88 or was it possibly just a spike?

Take a GPS out and run it, is the only way to find out. A boat is only as fast as it has gone.:drink:
