Switched from a 305 to a 502 two years ago. Installed new 60 fuel tank. Put 50 gallons in last summer July 4th weekend for first run. Didn't think about the feul vents being lower in the back with the heavier motor. Water poured in both vents on the transom. Figured I bought bad gas chewed out my buddy at the gas station. Next weekend same problem. Finally my girlfriend noticed the vents under the water when I was backing the boat in. Boy did i fell like a DA.

gotta get it all out, I'm sure boating will be somewhat limited next year...

Nope, not gonna do it! Completely unacceptable! If mom & dad has sis on the boat at 7 weeks, you will have the same amount of days, just maybe not the distance.

If you blow up one outboard, why not just move the other one over to the center, squirt some 4200 in the empty holes, and go about your business until the other motor is ready? I saw a guy doing exactly that on the lake last year, he blew up one of his outboards and didn't have the cash for a new one, so he drove around on one all summer.

But I guess if you're going to be fixed in 2 days it's not worth it.

Try Davisons Metro Power out in Long Island, Ocean Outboard, Mid-Coast or MRD.
