Default Marco Island Fl.....whats there to do/see????

Wife and i are gonna be there for a week starting July 28th just to get away from here and relax......never been i nthis area of Florida before...anythign worth doing or seeing around there? Let me know! Thanks

Go to Snookers its right on the water foods not bad good music. Its on the north side of the island.

You can also take a ride up to Sanibell Island its about an hour away.

Yea Sanibel was on the list to actually stay at...but she didnt find any place she liked....but its in the plan to go visit the beaches as they are supposed to be the best for sea-shells apparently..

Sanibell Resort right before the causway on the main land. The place was beautiful.

The "crazy flamingo" on Marco has some really good wings called Al Chin wings. They're a weird teriaki or something. Guy Harvey's is pretty cool and so is Vandys.
Naples has some nice spots but don't bother with "tin city" it's a total tourist trap.
Sanibel is nice if you want nothing to do, I like Captiva much better, but you should visit both since they're in the same spot. The Key West bistro (I think thats the name) in Captiva is awesome.
You could always take the high speed ferry to Key West for a day.

Take a drive down to Everglades City and go for an airboat ride. Check out the wildlife there. The Snook Inn is a good casual eating place on Marco. Some neat little shops and restaurants in downtown Naples like Tommy Bahama etc. Get a guide and do some snook/ redfishing for the day.

My office is right next door to the Crazy Flamingo in Marco Town Center. Come by, I'll give you a map and tell you where to eat and shop!
This is sleepy litttle toen this time of year, the beach is great and the water in the gulf is 91 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
