Air Time here on the boards told me about The Reporter Wireless Alert. It uses an infra-red sensor that sends a wireless signal up to 1200 feet to an alert box. I've tested the range, and it worked up to several blocks and that was around a corner. It's $79.95 for the package at Radio Shack.

A boat alarm sounds like a good investment where can I find something about boat alarms on the internet?

I've never had any problems at the London Bridge Resort, even on Holiday weekends. As for the beach at the Nautical Inn... watch out!
