Original post say 80's 30-35' CC...lets try to help out the original poster and not offer up your boat that is bigger and a few years old.

Hey....... come on Mike, my Midnight was 1987 and it's only 2 foot larger. Tough to find a older large center console.

But staying within the parameters of the question, my philosphy is and has been proven, if you want the best ride in the rough stuff you have to go for the steep deadrise and the longest hull you can find. There is a trade off with steep v's when you are at rest in rough seas and get beam to, it will roll you out of the boat.

With that in mind I would go with the biggest boat you are willing too , buy, maintain, fuel, trailer etc..

Also from experience of owning large 30,000 pound sportfishers, It does not matter how big your boat is when it's rough it's rough. You have to make the determination wether or not you want to go out and if it's practical too do so..

And to answer which one ,

if you are a hard core fisherman look at the older Contenders and and if you want more of a multipurpose boat look at the 34 Scarab Super Sports, Intrepids and Corsa.

Scarabs and Corsas are going to be the most bang for the buck.

and of course the ULTIMATE CHOICE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!!!
