Boat is For Sale - I Quit
Boat is up on e-bay. I quit.
I went to try to find what was up with the port motor and now it won't go into gear, running or stopped. I can't get anyone to come out to work on it and that was the last straw.

I've talked with both in the past, neither really does Yamaha's. I've looked into swaping them for some Mercs, but no one local had any good used motors. I don't have the time (ok, I don't have the patience) to try and piecemeal something with motors from one place, pickup the boat from someone, then rigging somewhere else.

Greg, if it will help, I know someone at Yamaha I can call and he will get you results... I'm in school tomorrow most of the day, but give me a buzz @ 305-949-2581 in the late afternoon if I can help, or email me details and contact info through the board......

Thanks for the offer, but they are 1993 motors, not really a problem for Yamaha. The local dealer has been helpful with parts and honest about work, he has too much already so won't schedule anything that isn't in his yard.

Easier said than done. I don't have a trailer (nor a place to keep one).
To get it there takes a day off work to idle it to a ramp (assuming it is broken, like it is now) to meet with a boat mover, then there is having some way for the shop to move it once there since I doubt the movers would like to leave their trailer there, and finally taking another day off to retrieve it.
It would be a PITA but possible for a once a year type thing, but would be impossible for the "every few weeks it's a new problem" that seems to be the pattern.
