you think it would be safe to use in a 1999 911 water cooled carrera ?

And I change oil every 15-20 hours so it is probably overkill. I am thinking of going back to the 20w50 Kendall that Merc recommends and keep changing it at 15 hours.
Is it ok to go back to conventional oil after using synthetic??

Key is not to switch back and forth, but I don't think it will be a big deal to switch once. I only have 85 hours on the engines. I just need to make up my mind soon.

Second boat I have used it in and have been very happy. It sure is expensive though.

I think merc. recommends 25-50 something to do with oil clearance in the bearings I think Maybe Gellner will chime in that is what he recommends also.

My Merc manual recommends Kendall, and that is what came in it from the factory. I thought is was 20W50m but maybe it was 25w50. I'll have to re-check the manual.
