Mildew removal from seats
The boat I am buying has quite a bit of mildew on the seats from sitting with the cockpit cover on it with no vents for about a year and a half. What have you all found to be the best for mildew removal from vinyl seats? Thank you in advance.

I thought about those but have never used them and didn't know if they worked on mildew. Thanks

Solution of Jo Max and bleach. Use on white surfaces. Test a small section of color to make sure it does not affect the color before you spray the whole thing.
I used it on a boat that had a mildew prob, and it did wonders. It did not affect the colors on the boat, i did the whole thing. The Jo Max bottle has instructions on the ration of bleach to jomax to water to be mixed. |
lysol tub and tile with bleach. Im telling you guys this chit works wonders.

Clorox cleaner with bleach and a small soft brush, then wipe dry.

Clorox Clean Up. I think pretty much anything with bleach will work. If the stains don't come all the way out right away, let it sit in the sun.

Cool, thanks guys. I figured about any sort of bleach solution would probably do it but wanted to see what everyone else thought as I didn't know if the bleach would hurt thte vinyl. Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to have 2 bolsters, combing panels, rear bench and engine hatch recovered? There are a few tears in it but not too bad so I plan to do a real good cleaning and possible recover all seats in the winter. Heres a few pics of what I will be working with. http://www.lakewideyachtbrokerage.com/1507.htm
