Guys, do we have to have all thee safety stickers for our truck and trailer if we are crossing thru ILL trying to get to LOTO for the Shootout? I cross Thru ILL on I 64 going into St Louis. Then picking up I 70.

So if the truck is plated at 12,000 and you have a td on the trailer which is good for 10,000 your make weight is 22,000 you are allowed.
I run a B plate on my dually and a TE trailer plate, the combined weight ratings of these 2 plates is less than what I weight combined, so Im legal. Trailer is safety inspected and stickered. Moral of the story to minimize overall cost and no truck inspection time/cost is to run a B plate on truck and overplate your trailer. |

Just got a $40 ticket from Palatine Police at a roadside truck weigh. Had D plates on truck and trailer - got ticket for no safety inspection on truck (guess he missed that there was not one on trailer). Went straight to safety lane inspection and got stickers for both for a combined total of $50.00. Inspection stickers are also only good for 6 months.
