Although we're not quite in the league most of you guys are in, a bunch of Hot Boaters are getting together at the Jupiter Sand Bar (just west of the US1 train bridge & Lighthouse area) August 12th. We'll be launching from Burt Reynolds Park at 11:00 am and make a run to the Manatee Pocket in St. Lucie for Lunch before coming back down to Jupiter to hang at the Sand Bar. Most all our boats run in the low 70's to mid 90's. We have about 15 boats so far. Everyone's welcome to join in for the fun!! Here's a few pictures from last Sunday.

That was about a 20-25 boat PR last year (1st year event). A huge poker run would be 100+ boats.

On the 12th be on the lookout for a 32 Sunsation, silver/white named Go Time. http://www.flpowerboat.com/new/photo.../05-11-087.cfm

He is a longtime Jupiter resident. His Jupiter Farms property was about 25 acres and sold to Palm Beach County Schools at his bankruptcy. It is slated to become a middle school shortly. His parents lived on the property for years. His home is on about 4 acres on the ICW overlooking Jupiter Island. From his dock/heliport his nieghbors across the ICW is Tiger Woods (38 million dollar 12 acre compound between ICW/ Ocean) and Greg Norman's former residence (on market for 25MM). Burt's house is nice but would be considered a tear down, was listed at 15 million but is now a reasonable 12.9! http://www.jicrealty.com/current.html scroll down to the last listing.

He had a dinner theatre and a museum (including a black T/A on display) but both have closed.

I came down to the docks at the lunch stop with my kids. I won't attend this year if it is $1500 again. I can do FPC's Bahamas run or Key West run cheaper than that!

I don't want to pay $1500 to boat in my backyard. FPC had the Palm Beach Poker Run this year for $550, sponsored by Rachael's and that was a bigger event with a much better sponsor!:D
