on the trailer headed down the turnpike!

That magnum is a sweet boat.. i cant imagine the fuel consumption though with that heavy of a boat running 70's.. you'd have to tow a fuel trailer!

My bad, just looked it up, I guess it's a Hunton 43 Gazelle. Never would of guessed that.

Put them in a diesel Magnum with a well stocked liquor cabinet and a better stocked gun cabinet (like most serious cruisers). Give it a unique paint job to draw attention from the good and bad guys. Have them do a few questionable delivery runs and maybe the TT race (great Magnum race scene from Miami Vice BTW), and you got yourself a screenplay

On the other end of this conversation, I saw a white Magnum Missle the other day! Man, it doesn't matter if they are 16' or 60', they all look awesome!

Default Magnum 50 Fuel and Engine Sound

What is the fuel consumption for a Magnum 50? I'm sure it depends on speed.

I plan for the characters take the Magnum to the Grenadines from St. Lucia. Anyone know what fuel they may burn and where they can re-fuel? Can a Magnum 50 be fitted with extra gas tanks or custom gas tanks (I'd think a Magnum would already be fitted beyond what most other boat manufacturers consider standard?).

Also, what does the 50 sound like when it starts up? Is that called "Spooling" when the engines first start? It's imp. to the screen play as she thinks internally about the engine when she first hears it start where she boards it and its moored off Anse Pitons.

haha call me crazy, but if anyone out there owns a 50 or similar boat, I'd be happy to give my cell phone and you can start her up when you call me

It sounds like as truck.

Spooling up comes from the turbocharger kicking in at higher RPMs.

They don't spool up at the dock, that happens underway, at speed.

I rerigged chuck norris's 46ft Scarab for the owner of Pussers
Rum in the B.V.I. and spent some time running between most
of the U.S.V.I and B.V.I, to Puerto Rico.
One thing I really remember was watching the big cat motors
with surface drives running at sunset about 60 with the drives trimed up and the roster tail about 30ft hi and a mile long.
I thought when I looked at it, It would be great in a movie,
