35' wood Cougar Cat on Bent Boat

Wood??? Now that is interesting..How much ya'll think it'll fetch??

Seeing that it's totally impractical for ANYTHING, I doubt very much. But that's not going to stop me from bidding. It looks like it would make a great toy with a couple of SC engines and a pair of #5s on the back.
I was looking at what I think used to be the trim tabs in the photos, but I'm not sure what kind they were or how they were hooked up. Anyone?

I beleive that this is the boat originally owned by Al Copeland. I believe that this is the hull that originally had 6 or 8 merc O/B power heads stuffed inside and tied into two outdrives. If so, it was built to be a speed record boat but was not too effective on the race course.

Anyone else remember this hull as a Popeyes boat?

Yes I do. And you're right, it had (8) Mercury Powerheads.

I can't remember what day it is but race boats are different story.

How do you tei together 4 powerheads to a single drive? That's the strangest thing I've ever heard.

I think it was a belt drive that tied it all together. If I remember correctly, they ran it with 6 powerheads but had room for 8.

I bet T2x would have some more info.

It would be interesting to know how fast it ran. And also if you could easily add stringers for I/O power. Off hand I think it will probably end up going for the value of the trailer, used gimbals, extension boxes, and misc parts. What do you think $6 or 7K.

Memory says it ran about 131.

I thought it held the kilo for a while???
