warring to all classified shoppers ther are two crooks out there(john & mark perez)of martin custom boat long beach CA 90221 I bought trasum plates gimbels and stering for #3 for 4500.00 and thay put 5000.00 on my credtcard john sead 500.00 was for shipping so ok he was going to ship in a week or so I was fine with that so 4weeks latter still nothing called his #562-235-5473 & 310-766-4311 several times every time a nother story then phone not in service called mark 949-874-3790 he was going to take care of it so I wattid now 6 month I heard more storys now it been over 1 year and now mark wont ansere his phone I called OSO and thay said there was nothing thay can do ok but do like ebay revoke there subscripison dont just take aneyones money thay have no right to be on this site that what i think these guys are liers chets and a-- holes :angry-smiley-038:

Yes- Contact your credit card company like now ! The statute of limitations has ran out but it wouldn't hurt to plead your case .

Any more / detailed description of these dirt bags could help- also you might want to call around the local marine service centers in LA and Orange county .

I agree, get ahold of your Card Company and file a dispute against them...I had a similar situation a few years ago buying some parts for a ML320 that never was dilivered...I alwayw use AMEX when I can , first the story was they would take 6 weeks and then they were on backorder...When I finally got a hold of a real live person they said the company I bought them from was out of business and they just handled the transactions...I contacted AMEX and filed a claim and they refunded the whole amount after checking into the issue and this was 6 or 7 months later after the purchase...

Never heard of "Martin Custom boat" in this area (so.cal)- "if" such a business exsists they're not well know in the performance marketplace.

The credit card merchant agreements prohibit charging a customer's card prior to shipping the product. If a vendor charges your card before shipping, I would recommend disputing the charges right away. You can always rescind the dispute if the parts later show up.

I live near Long Beach and have been boating in the area for 12 years, and been an active SCOPE member and board member and I have never heard or come across these guys :eek:

Are these guys just some online seller?? Do they claim to have a shop??

These boards are great tools for finding out about who's who, I would also recommend looking in to the local boat clubs websites, for the future I would suggest posting about a purchase you are going to make relating to the knowledge and interest of these boards and make sure the purchase, brand, or seller are recognized and recommended :cool:

Call your CC company and dispute the charges...you should have started doing this the moment you got your statement showing the charges.

Like a lot of people have said, call your cc company and dispute the charge. Do you have an address? I'll do a "drive by" and see if the place even exists.

Not really to good to be true for #3's.... 3A's would have been a good deal at that price.

I am sorry for my bad spelling i do not post much i just wanted to waren everyone about the classified and to say this is not unconnen acording to oso you have to know about the seller i copy everything off the ad but there was no aderss my mistake for not getting or instesting one thay sound like thay sold alote of salvag boat parts on oso and i got alot of phone # when i first talk with john as for the price i thought it was just ok not a steel thay told me one plate was good one was not so good but thay wood give me the old hydrolic steering also it is going on a old vice kv i am restoreing so i have to work on them a littel ok but the price did not throw up any red flags aneyways thank for lissining TIM L

You may want to run some #'s on those drives. I know that within 20 miles of LBC someone went drive shopping in the middle of the night and forgot to pay. Considering non of us from Socal have heard of this place and they are passing themselves off as ligitimate... It might be the right thing to do by calling merc LE and checking if you just got a set of hot drives?
