Its a give and take situation. But i'd rather get their later than sooner with back problems. And i'll let you know about the width.

Yes, its fun doing 100 plus mile trips. What mph do you cruise at ? You could island hop all the way to South America through the Caribbean, the longest leg is about 200 miles. I charted it out. It would be fun to get 3 or 4 boats in group and go see a couple of Islands.

Should I be aware of stress cracks where the bracket is bolted to the transom on the Concepts ? Do they crack ? Are the notorious for anything ? Can they take a beating ?

I cruise at 57-58 mph @ 3600 rpms or about 50-51 @ 3400.

I would rather have the heaveir wider boat, In SC to reach the Gulf Stream you may need to run 50+ miles offshore.
It is important to me that a CC be set up for fishing and playing.

I would love to have a wider beam boat! My boat lives on my lift 99% of the time, however I had to have some thing that was trailerable (8'6" on interstates, 8' on other routes in MD).

I've never seen or heard any thing about any one ever having issues with the brackets. Concept has a life-time hull warranty for original owners- not sure if the bracket is considered part of that or not.
So if you sell your boat the warranty doesnt transfer?

No stagger. The staggered 36 Apache's don't really have a usable cockpit.
