300 Verado likes 92 but can use 87- the 300XS' have to have at least 91.
I like the Yammy's and the Suzuki's as well- have friends with them and no issues what-so-ever. Then again- they don't run their boat the way I run mine...
I am not a fan of the 2 stroke Suzuki that goes from 4 cyliners at idle to 6 when running- sounds like crap at the docks and hard to handle...

Someone mentioned Yamaha and Ford.. I remember when Yamaha built the Ford SHO motor.

Just out of curiosity, what's the story behind more duct tape and less nail polish ? Apache because your woman likes it rough ??

actually I and my passengers really like the quiet running Verado's. I've had my 275's for over 2 years now and have been owning outboard powered boats since 2003 and I really do not miss all the noise and hassle with I/O's
