Default One of the best riding boats Ive ever been in under 30 foot...

And yes, that includes- 27 Activator,24 Superboat,24 and 28 Pantera etc...
The Cobra 27.

I ran one today through a 1 to the occasional 3 foot chop. It had a 496HO and ran close to 80MPH, was rigged better than A LOT of some top name boats and was built very well. Id be curious to see how there 26 cat runs.

PS- She has a 24* deadrise

Maybe you'd better get out into some 5-6's before you compare it to the 28 Pantera. Was that lake chop you were running in.......... Remember its got to hold up well - even on the offshore race circuit. Do they offer a lifetime warranty on the hull............even the race setup..............do they have a race setup.........

Just out of curiosity, was this a used boat or a brand new one? Honestly I have been watching their website for several years and have not seen any changes in quite some time. I have often searched (googled) for any new info on their 290 Viper SXT and the only thing that ever shows up is their site. I have never found one for sale anywhere either, so I was sort of curious if they were even still around.

friend of mine has one--works pretty good for a "lake-boat" (read: training wheel cat)
theirs is the canopy version, low-mid 80's with a 525/XR/shorty swinging a 28 bravo. Very easy/forgiving boat to drive--a trained monkey could get you home safe in it. No funny habits, just point and go.
