Holland Mi no wake zone??
Does anyone know what the no wake law is on Lake Macatawa and does it depend on size?? We have a 29 foot boat. I know there is a short no wake between the narrows. Any help would be appreciated.

I think through the narrows it's no wake if you're over 26 ft. Other than the narrows, the lake is marked pretty good. Just watch the buoys.

Yeah Keith, what he said. My buddy lives right at the narrows...I see stuff flying through there regularly, but it's smaller.

Yeah, what Maroon said. But I think it is 26' and over, so if you are 25' 11" your good to go thru the narrows. It has been along time since I was on Macatawa, but there is a spot at the West end of the lake that is marked. If you stay to the North side of the lake, you can almost go all the way to the west end lake before you have to come off plane.
At least that was the way it was several years, my last time there. If you have a question, stop one of the sheriff's, they are more than willing to help!!! :) :) |
Awesome info C Spray......THANKS. KS

By C-Spray's link, if you stay in the shipping channel, the narrows are wide open without a length limit. Just a small area by Marigold Lodge and on the South side. That is what I remember from before. Keep her on plane and stay between the buoys.
