Due,

Give us more info - speed, drives, year, pictures, HP, etc.

Retired race boat? I'm assuming it's an older boat.

Love the Jag's from yesteryear!!

Neat ride!!

Bob, Darrell-
There's a lot of information posted in the Jaguar forum, but here's the short version.

This is the 40' Jag, which was custom built in '92. We took it down to a bare hull, even removing a large portion of the deck to lower its profile and to lengthen the cockpit area. After evaluating the performance as its previous-life race boat, we re-engineered the installation to lower and move forward its center of gravity plus worked hard to lighten the boat, etc. "Everything" in the boat was replaced or changed. This boat (as most Jags) doesn't have any wood. It's all composite so no worries about rot and it is super-strong, to which I'm sure other Jag owners can testify.

Power is a pair of mild 572s, which dyno (flywheel) about 780 each. Drives are dry sump 6s with Hering skegs. Transmissions are Huber 1450s

The ride and handling is great and, by design, its speed will remain within Markel's guidelines, which is fast-enough for us :D

NICE! I like the all white

Dueclaws 08-24-2007 11:42 AM

Thanks. I was thinking about adding some blue, but a lot of folks have said to keep it white.

Nice to see something different and unique. I'm sure that boat is a blast. The white looks awesome!
