http://www.fastefi.net/media/truepower1.wmv Pump gas? 93 they dont say.I wonder if it would make that HP in a marine tune up? no innercooler also. |
Talked with Tim, he says 93 octane pump gas.
|
WOW thats a whole lot of HP on just 93...I think the TEAGUE 900 EFI's are set to run on 89 for the CA crowd
|
93 is starting to be harder and harder to find at poker runs and local marinas. but that is some awesome power.
|
did Tim used to drag race

ck of the pick of it in the shop, looks like a indy, cosworth? motor in the back ground on a stand:D
|
found this on youtube, Grose 575 CID blown DOHC Engine on the dyno
|
The big motor looks a little like a Cossie too. With the dual bet driven cams and all. Cousins?
As I look a bit more carefully at the motor in the back I can see Chevy on the valve cover. So I guess it could be an old Illmor Chev Indy motor (but I thought those were two valve motors for some reason) or maybe the Cosworth Chevy IRL motor? |
They have been working on that project for years.
|
Tim Grose & Dave (F.A.S.T.) have told me that 89 oct. is no problem and they think the overhead valve motor will also turn some impressive #'s on E-85. Tim has these motors ready for production as we speak. There is talk that a pair is being installed in an Outter Limits. Keep your eyes open.

some one should get Tim to jump on here and keep us informed sounds like a hell of a motor i am not sure about that high of rpm for marine use
|
Somebody needs these
Tim Grose 269-561-6000 Valve srings = single bee-hive/ 140 lbs on the seat, timing 26°, boost 14 lbs ( if I remember) Let it spin.

Thanks for some specks.I guess the effciency of the combustion chamber is the reason behind the timming being low.Just think what he could do with a motor for the Hot Rod Mag Pump Gas drags in Memphis Tn.Theres some pretty stout #'s there runing on socalled pump gas:D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vp0h7eHzDE |

That seat pressure is almost enough for a hyd. roller camshaft. NO where near enough for a mech. roller

Mike I wonder with the Fast could he get it to Idle very low? I would think at 7k + rpm it would considered to be a hot poker run motor or a race motor.
