Need Power Steering hose fitting thats on the rams
2 Attachment(s)
I have had 2 failures on my Mayfair Steering lines on the steering rams. The rubber is failing inside the fitting ,the hose it fraying on the end and coming apart.Leaking and loosing steering:eek: I have the tool from Marine Machine to put them together etc, The rubber lines are I guess getting old ?
Were can I buy the chrome plated brass fittings in the pick? Do they make a better hose than the Parker 225-6 hose?http://www.parker.com/hpd/products/s...sp?catdesc=225 I am guess thats what I have ? Or should I just buy the Stainless ones form http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=533 already made up? Thanks Rob:D http://www.hydraulichouse.com/search...nufacturer=225 Pick has mandrel tool in it |
i alweays use all stainless. mine came from wpm

Stainless is nice that the aeroquip or parker is probably tougher. If you kink the stainless its done, Most stainless lines are just teflon hose inside.

rob, check a local hydraulic place that makes hoses, they will have everything and preesure fit the ends, had them made for my 311 in an emergency and it was about 50 bucks, they should have stainless too.

I had to replace my hoses on the inside of the transom on my MM steering. None of the hydraulic hose places had the correct fittings. I ended up finding an aeroquip dealer and they made them with some 5000psi hose. |
