Unhappy IMP Elaganza 310????

I was wondering if anybody in here has heard of this kind of boat and if they have, is it any good? The reason im asking this (now that its to late because I already worked out a deal with the guy), I would like to kind of know what I got myself into. If you would like to see some pics of it, it is still on e-bay for sale. The item # for the boat is 130143832778. PLEASE take a look at it and tell me what you think, im open to everything good and unfortunatly, bad. Thanks for all your help.

John

Well I do live here in vermont and there is lake champlain. I just wanted an offshore STYLE looking boat. I cant afford the $100,000 one yet so I figured this one would do for now as a starter boat I guess, thats all.
I might kick myself in the azz for doing it but I traded a 2006 harley night train for it and plus he will deliver from Ohio. I love the raceing part but unfortunatly my pockets wont let me go that far so I have to stick to the cruzing part instead.

Hi John!

I read an article about it some time ago and it seemed like it was OK. The price must of been right and you must of liked it and bought it. If you are not racing and just wanted a good size boat to cruise around in, I'm sure you be happy with it.

You should be happy. I just got a 31 IMP this spring and we are really enjoying it. We get lots of compliments on it and it handles rough lake water pretty good. Everything i could find on it said it was well constructed when I bought. Many were sold around LOTO and thats where mine came from. The guys at the maintenance facility that i visited at LoTo had good things to say. Mine is the 310 Viper. Ive got an original sales brochure that told of how it did pretty good in an offshore race. i know it has its limitations , but we are proud of it and I think its a good starter twin engine. Good luck.

Looks like it needs some TLC. If you got it for the right price I think you will have a good time with it. Take it easy out of the hole with those drives .

You will have a good time with it. We did for several years, every weekend at LOTO. Also, there is another thread going about these boats, you should check it out for more info.

i use to work for a dealer in 85 through 87 we sold the elaganza line. it is not a bad boat they sold new for 65,000 with 330's and around 70,000 with 375's. their was a motor mount update around that time may want to ask if it was done. had some hull's crack if boat was wave jumped and the problem was corrected in production. all the eleganzas we sold were used offshore. i had the mounts brake one while testing during dealer prep. we ran solid hub cleavers 24 in on the 330's and 26's on the 375's. 330 speed was around 65-68mph and the 375's were 70 -72 mph.
