Anyone have an empty hitch heading East? Chicago toward Virginia?

I bought a car on eBay and its now at my Dad's house in the western Chicago suburbs. I need it in Richmond, Virginia.

I don't mind flying up and driving it back, but finding the time to do so is the hard part.

If anyone has an empty hitch coming this way, I can get the car loaded on a U-Haul flatbed car transport (not dolly); and all it will need is towed this way.

Figured I would give it a shot; albeit probably not feasible.

Thanks in advance.

Brian, pm me, i am in the south suburbs of chitown with several friends that own dealerships with drivers if that would be an option for you. My partner in town has a flat bed car trailer for his Chevy store that you could hire as well, but it would be cheaper if a driver could drive it to you and then stick him on a plane back to Midway. Get me 40% off the sticker on a new 37 AT and I will have it to you this Friday at no charge, LOL. Hammer

I called our shuttle driver who moves trucks for us and he said about 350. net to him; he will drive your new car to Richmond. Looks about 850 miles NW Chitown to Richmond.

Plus: tolls, fuel, airline ticket Richmond to Milwaukee.

I drive him to your pops house for you n/c :D

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I can do it for $300 bucks not including my time.

If someone was making the trip, I was going to try and put it on a trailer behind them. But, I had my Dad measure it, and since its lowered, it probably will not fit on a U-Haul trailer.

Terrible picture, but its something I have been wanting for a while. This one has been juiced up a bit. :D

What did you get, one of those Mexican pimp car/trucks?

Hey Brian,

I got your message, sorry i didn't call you back. I was out of town. I have a transporter bringing my car from ill. to fl. for $550.00, its over 1000 miles. Call around and get some quotes. Its not worth the time to go and get it, let alone the price of gas and a plane ticket.
