When your finished washing them, make sure you dry them.

:hitfan: Vodka should do the trick!!!! Drink a lot of it and laugh at how stupid you are for making your ropes smell like azz cuz you are skeered of a little salt water. Really people there is nothing wrong with salt water. It's a figment af your imagination that your peniz iz gonna fall off if you leave it in salt water too long. I just don't know how you have any fun boating at all with all the sleepless nights cuz your boat might still have a bit of brackish water in the bilge after you hosed it down enough to triple your monthly water bill. Sorry for the rant!!!!! Have a nice day!:cool-smiley-027:

This is what I was going to say. If they are really stinky, you might want to go to a coin-op facility and use their washer instead of the one at home. :p After they have been washed, hang them up to drip dry.
I also hang dry mine . The dryer gets pretty hot . I dont even dry my pants and shirts in the dryer.Hang dry they last longer. My ancor rope is a Sampson white one, I wash with bleach every time it gets dirty with a little bleach, had it since 1990 |
