One of my clients (True Position) develop the technology of triangulation of cell towers to determine location on cell phones.

pretty neat stuff....

My girlfriends's T-Mobile Motorola Razr doesn't have a location feature

I found it right away on my Verizon Motorola Krzr.....

I just set mine (it was on E911 only). I will set my wife`s and son`s phones today.

Just make sure you turn it off if you are running from the authorities!

The "location" feature on most phones is for 3rd party type apps/services. Practically every new phone sold is gps enabled. Basically this means for emergency/law enforcement reasons the phone can be tracked w/out the user knowing. i design the systems so law enforcement has access to your voice, data, txt mssgs, picmail, etc. There is anything a user can do that the ntk isnt already aware of at a signaling level.
