I think I could have fun on this. Supposed to be the fastest blow boat.

I had this discussion with my brother last weekend. He RACES??? sail boats. He was yapping about running 17 knots and blowing by some guy doing 15

I then reminded him that my boat has a minimum planing speed of about 25. Hell, it idles at 9. Racing sail boats is like watching whose laundry dries faster on the line.

That hyrdoptere is badazzzz.

I captain a 53 foot ketch for a guy in Bonita here .I was bringing him back from a week of diving in the Tortugas when we got hit by a strong Northerly front back in April.Anyways broke the feathering prop early in the storm and than lost the main mast at about 2am.It was a long night of cutting a mast away in twenty foot seas and 45 mph winds.HAD to set off the Epirb about 6pm since we had not seen another boat all day and we had another strong front coming in.Coasties hooked up to me for a tow manuevering in 15 footers with a 110 cutter and towed us 70 miles into Key West.

Not a fun trip.
