Part # for HP500 intake

Need to replace an intake on one of our engines. It is a stock HP500 EFI.

First, is there a GM part number where I can buy from GM??

Or if not what is Mercury's part # ??

Also does anyone know of any good used ones available??

I have a couple used ones.

It's a Dart intake with Merc blue paint. I believe it's NLA from Merc, but you can buy a new Dart for a whole lot less than the $1100+ that Merc had it listed for, and paint it Merc blue. I have the color code for the Merc blue paint.

Hey Bill,
The Mercury part number is 849900T 3. If you dont buy one already painted I know you can get blue paint and clear coat to make it new again.

Hey Cuda,
Bill said it was an EFI intake.:D I bet the wife likes that! I know what my wife says when I bring tools into the house!:angry-smiley-055:

The lower is a GM part and the upper is Arizona Speed & Marine if my second-hand info serves me correct. It's possible the whole thing is AS&M. I've seen that Volvo and Marine Power have used that intake also FWIW.

Hey Joe...That looks way too squeeky clean to me. Not to mention a stones throw from the dish washer.

Glad you all were able to catch on to the fact that I do need a EFI intake not carburated.

Thanks anyways Cuda:D:D

cuda 09-12-2007 06:51 AM

Oops, I didn't see the EFI part.

Can anyone confirm whether all the Merc units use a rectangle port lower manifold? I see AS&M offers both oval and rect port. So far it looks like the Volvo pieces are oval. Wonder if you could hog out the ovals a bit or whether it'd be worth it...

Pwrbt33 09-17-2007 03:04 PM

The Mercury part is rectangular port for the 500 EFI.:D
