Launch fees

Just curious what everyone has to pay to launch their boat, i have heard stories of lakes with $55 ramp fees but texas is mostly $5-10. Like i said just wondering...

Knot 4 Me 09-12-2007 10:37 AM

$5 at our local pond. $7 at the State Park at LOTO.

ciaoderhead 09-12-2007 10:40 AM

I have a ramp at my house.....it's FREE.
The marinas around me are $10 (in and out)

Gladhe8er 09-12-2007 10:44 AM

Lake George, NY is $35. Down here on LI Sound, I pay $20 for the season.

Queenie 09-12-2007 11:17 AM

In Mentor Lagoon's, $20 in and $20 out.....unless you do it before they get to their little shack!

Fairport Harbor ramp is $10.

Grand River Marina $7 but nothing larger than 31'.

They're all over the place. Mentor is a total rip off for our area. Just the big city giving it to the little guy once again.

Dude! Sweet! 09-12-2007 11:21 AM

$10 at Sunset Acquatic, it's free at the municipal ramp, but you have to pay for hourly parking, unless you have a city parking pass already. The municipal ramp sucks though.

Iggy 09-12-2007 11:28 AM

Local ramp at the fish camp is 3.00 for 24 hours. Till last year is was a dollar.
Another ramp at a county park is 5.00 and parking is severly limited. Park stops accepting boaters when the parking lot fills.
We do have a couple free ramps at municipal facilities too.

Zudnic 09-12-2007 11:34 AM

The Columbia River near my house is free. Lake Chelan 40 minutes is $5. Paid $15 for Lake Shasta but discovered my Brother gave wrong figure and kept paying the bigger boat fee. Forget the name of Park above the dam at Red Bluff that I go on Sac river, but its free.

h2oboy 09-12-2007 11:56 AM

Between $10-$12 here on the river, $7-$10 at LOTO

sommerfliesby 09-12-2007 11:58 AM

$15 for a single or twin-axle trailer at Hammond, but $30 for a triple!! Does that make any sense? Then again, Hammond also used to charge me $30 to launch two jet skis on one trailer...total BS.

I once went to this little marina to flush out my engines. $7.00 is what they charged everyone else. The charged me $20.00 because I had an extra axle:mad:

since you were just wondering.........:cool-smiley-027:

Donman 09-12-2007 12:03 PM

$5 at my marina, but it`s free for me, since I lease an RV spot there year-round.

Smitty 09-12-2007 12:04 PM

Chain O Lakes in IL is avg 20.00

Lk Geneva in Wi is 26.00 for my 36 footer

Panther 09-12-2007 12:21 PM

$20 under 30 ft and $30 over 30 ft...but we don't use the ramp but once a year...

Griff 09-12-2007 12:38 PM

No ramp fees at public ramps on our river. The ramps suck though as the docks are short and your putting in in 4-7mph current. Also parking sucks.
My city owned marina is $350 for the year for a dry storage parking place and unlimited ramp usage.

WILDMAN 09-12-2007 12:47 PM

Mostly state ramps in Florida, and they're all free.

SLOWOUTBOARD 09-12-2007 12:50 PM

40$ for the season in my town but next township cost me 55$ for the day

VetteLT193 09-12-2007 01:34 PM

Remember when there was no such thing as a launch fee?

Marina by me is $3, honor system.

chuckbeecher 09-12-2007 02:08 PM

Only paid in Texas when it was a private ramp all else were free and same for all other public ramps either inland or coastal from Port Isabel Tx to Key West. State parks had their admissions.:cool-smiley-027:

glassdave 09-12-2007 02:35 PM

between 5 and 20 bucks here to launch the 38. most of the time no one is tending the ramp and they have no drop box so its usually free. there is a strap hoist i used that was 45 bucks but it saved me well over that in gas from where i was going to put in.

GOFASTJUNKIE 09-12-2007 03:07 PM

I pay as little as $10 and as much as $20. There is a public ramp next to the private ramp I use at the marina. The public ramp is $3. Now the waiting time for the $3 ramp can be as much as 2 hours......I guess you get what you pay for.

jhiguy377 09-12-2007 03:39 PM

$4 for parking only; great 4 lane ramp; they just put up a sign that limits trucks to 45';when they asked about my 68' long set up I just pointed out that the truck was less than 45':drink:

gerritm 09-12-2007 04:32 PM

When we lived on Long Island, Ny you had to buy a township permit for around a $100 bucks and I think you could launch at your township ramp for free. But if you were from another township, if I remember right they charged around $2 per foot to launch. It was over $40 to launch my 22 foot Crownline. Glad I don't live there anymore. It's free to launch any size boat herer in the Houston = Clear Lake = Galveston Bay area. Good launches and parking.

f311fr1 09-12-2007 04:41 PM

Most ramps at Lake Cumberland are $5 up to 35 feet and $1 a foot over. I usually just pay $5 and a good cigar. State park ramps are free but parking sucks. Old hickory is $5 at private ramps and free at public state ramps.

Hammond is free if you are a Fib. Michigan City pitiful launch is $10 or a $100 for the season. I do the season and get my moneys worth and then some!

sounds like $20 was cheap, read these posts, there are guys paying $40 and $50 i heard of a marina on my lake charging $30 for triple axle boats! sounds like $20 to launch any small boat and $40 to launch a big triple axle is par for a good ramp with parking and other amenities, hmmmmm

wananewboat 09-12-2007 05:47 PM

Wellfleet, MA $10 or $100 for the season. Nice ramp, just built and two wide with 90' dock.
