How about towing the boat with this.

Nothing like dropping a hundred grand real quik.

jr 01-11-2002 01:04 PM

Well, I dropped 40 pretty quick when I bought mine. I would love to see looks my wife would get from the other soccer moms when she pulled into school with that thing. She gets stares now with the PSD.

Iggy 01-11-2002 01:15 PM

What a waste.
See the welded axle trusses on the rear axle?
I'll bet the front is the same way. Probably needs the extra support to hold up all that weight.

jr 01-11-2002 01:23 PM

I guess its what ever floats your boat. No pun intended. I cant see why someone would dump that much cash, time and effort into something that isn't usable. Wallys truck is usable. You can tow, 4 wheel, whatever with it. That thing would tip over on the first off camber turn.

Wally 01-11-2002 01:28 PM

MAN!! And i thought mine was big!!! How in the hell do you see out the windshield with that flame tint job??? That truck is useless!! Looks cool but utterly useless!!

MikeStar 01-11-2002 01:30 PM

All I get is red X's :(

jr 01-11-2002 01:36 PM

Sounds like my math tests when I was still in school umpteen years ago. :D I'll email them to you.

jr 01-11-2002 01:37 PM

Mike check your hotmail account.

G-Force 01-11-2002 01:50 PM

Sh!t...how the hell do you get into that thing? Step ladder???

boot 01-11-2002 04:17 PM

THat thing is awesome!! It's not useless . I had a brand new F350 (in 89) THat had the same tires and almost as much lift ,and I drove it every day ,and pulled trailers too. Obviously I couldn't pull my 39' cat but I pulled lots of other stuff . Got great milage too ! It had the 7.3 diesel with 4.10's and a 5 speed and I went on many long trips . It cruised at 75 with ease and got 17-18 mpg !

If it's too high ,Your too OLD !! :p

OR A YUPPY !! :D

boot 01-11-2002 04:22 PM

MY play toy ,a 1979 F250 , was a foot taller then that one ! It had a 3' step that swings down electricly under the doors to get in . Even when it was down ,it was above my knee .

THat one didn't get good milage though it had a 750hp 460 in it ! Not REALY street legal but it saw some pavement a few times ! :D

Bill272 01-11-2002 05:18 PM

Bummer of a day. I just found out that I'm too old. Or a yuppie.

Niuhi 01-11-2002 05:24 PM

There is an identical one I've seen here towing if I remember an Advantage to and from my marina. Only difference I can see is that his is dark blue. I'm short and can just about walk under the thing.

Garry 01-11-2002 05:58 PM

I have seen the thing run out in Glamis. It went down some unoffical sand drags a couple of times. It actually went through the woops pretty decent. In all honesty though what a waste!

bucky 01-11-2002 06:43 PM

Where would you find a 35" drop receiver???

Dono 01-12-2002 02:28 AM

COOL TRUCK MAN i'd either lower it a bit or put bigger tires on. :D Just a tad to much space between the tires and body for me. Oh yea i'm 31 and drink Budweiser. ;) (not a yuppie)

jr 01-12-2002 09:57 AM

Sorry to hear that Bill. I guess you and I are in the same situation. I went 4 wheeling a few weeks ago up at the Mounds. That thing would have been toast. My buddy almost rolled his International Scout with a 4 inch lift. That thing definately would have been on its side. But then I'll bet that X has never seen mud.

Bill272 01-12-2002 03:13 PM

Maybe I'm not too old or a yuppie. I'm just too cheap to buy a 40K+ truck (and pump another 10k+ into it) that wouldn't pull the boat.

boot 01-12-2002 04:40 PM

Oh come on ,I'm just bustin' ! Besides who desides what is a waste of money and what isn't ?

HOw much did we spend on our boat repairs ?

And how about FUEL bills ?

HUH ? ;)

boot 01-12-2002 04:47 PM

Besides ,I know of one guy on this board with $100,000 Peterbuilt ,just to pull his boat for pleasure ! Is that a waste ? Not in my book ! It's cool ! Others have spent $50k-$80k on mid size trucks (Kodiacs, etc)for a toy ! How about $1,000,000 for a boat? Does about the same thing as one for $20,000 .
( It floats ,and you can sit and party in it at your favorite hang out )!

Sorry ,I'll stop .I could go on and on . :D

Dono 01-12-2002 09:04 PM

He who dies with the most toys.... wins :D

Madcow 01-12-2002 09:24 PM

That is the most hideous thing I've ever seen in my life. Whats the deal. You buy this truck and get a free bowl of soup. :D

Bill272 01-12-2002 11:26 PM

Hey, it takes all kinds. The guy who owns that probably can't believe other people just leave their trucks stock. He might not even understand how some people can spend their hard earned cash on boats.

Bill272 01-13-2002 09:23 AM

On a side note, I went downt to the Detroit Auto Show last week and was suprised that Ford didn't have an Excursion on display. With the SUV market as hot as it is, and the profit they make from these, I can't believe they didn't include it.

PhantomChaos 05-16-2003 08:06 PM

Whoa.......that is big!
