Default Brownie - a question for you.

Brownie -

In a thread in the Cigarette section (Cigarette in the 80's in Ocean City), some one asked about Satin Doll, which was built for my friend Bill Schaefer in I think 1978.(It was my first ever ride in an offshore boat) I think you may have been at Cigarette at the time. How close to being the first 38 Cigarette ever built was Satin Doll? It may not have been the first but it surely was an early 38.

Thanks Brownie.

Barry

Don't know. I was down the street at Magnum 77 to 80. I thought the first stretch was 37'6", Ajac Hawk, etal.

Yes, I should have been more specific. As far as I know, AJAC Hawk was the first 37.6X Race version. Satin Doll was a pleasure boat with race engines and drives, but it did have 37.6X above the Cigarette emblems on the sides.

Hi Barry,

Just ran across your old post. The Cig "Satin Doll", now known as BEAST, was built in 1979 and is Hull 002. It was titled as a 1980 even though the HIN shows 0579 being the last four digits. Any questions feel free to PM me. All the best.

Bill
