TRIPPLEDIGITS : Put up or shut the f*** up !

Saw this on another site. It`s too funny.

This guy openly challenged everyone to a race, then starts making rules ... excuses ... etc ...

He is a member here too. (trippledigits)

From Speedwake:
To All the fastest Guys in the fatsest micro boat thread. This is a open invatation to race me. There are a few guys coming to NJ to race me and I will post the results on this thread. Dont get crazy this for micro boats only just what cfm started on his thread. Its for fun so dont get silly. I will also do some traveling if I think its worth it. Lets put the cards on the table and see who is realy going fast. I know how fast I go Do You?

CigDaze 09-21-2007 07:23 AM

What's the definition of a micro-boat?

320es 09-21-2007 08:12 AM

I think I seen a related thread on speedwake. Anything under 23' is aparrently a microboat.

Someone on SW started a thread about "micro boats". I believe it was defined as :
Under 24'
V-hull
I/O engine

Something like that.

TexomaPowerboater 09-21-2007 09:59 AM

Thats funny

And it comes not less than one week after a guy died when his "micro-boat" desintegrated at speed. Thats not so funny.

CigDaze 09-21-2007 10:25 AM

Thanks Donman. I don't get it. I guess anyone can invent a category for themselves these days and be a champ. :D

I generally don't frequent lesser establishments such as that other site, but with all the fanfare I had to check it out. Pretty hilarious. I'd love to see him try that here. ;)

Something like that? Didn't you post your boat over there?

OK...Here I am:

81.4 mph GPS

That`s with 23" prop spinning 5800 rpm.
Just got a 25" Mirage Plus. Will try it out this weekend.
To be honest, I was having a hard time with chine walk at about 77+. If I can keep it under control we`ll see what this new prop gives.

Here are a few of my latest engine photos:

:D

DMOORE 09-21-2007 11:45 AM

So does a top fuel hydro count as a "micro boat"?:cool-smiley-027:

BY U BOY 09-21-2007 11:49 AM

We have one here in houston he can come run 96mph donzi 22 classic, which is for sale. Better than new.

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/6/9/89801269.htm

my little 21 scarab only runs 70 with more to go if i can find the right prop.

320es 09-21-2007 12:05 PM

Is this the same guy that has the website about the stingray or something that is running an alpha and big cube small block tryig to get to 100?

My money would be on George Desmond in his surface drive donzi.

DMOORE 09-21-2007 12:36 PM

There are a few Schiada ski race boats with BIG motors that run well over 100. That's hauling in a boat that size.

Darrell.

That boat is long gone! And trippledigits "rules" state you have to have an Alpha drive.

It's a joke, he's just rattling some chains.

dreamboater 09-21-2007 01:02 PM

Why leave the O/B out? Just about any allison with a 2.5 would take good care of those boats.

The point of the microboat thread(that started over two years ago) was for people to chime in that had a sterndrive V-hulls under 23' and post their speeds. Mr. trippledigits joined a few months back and immediately started insulting people and talking smack about his 100mph boat. Then yesterday he issued his "challenge".

Yep, that is my old boat -- 22' Baja. Been too long, couldn`t remember the exact guidelines to qualify as a "micro boat".

pasquesi 09-21-2007 01:49 PM

That's a fast boat Donman! The exhaust looks wicked!

Hey Frank, remind me to tell you the story about that big azz exhaust sometime. That was quite an interesting sound from that boat.

My wife reminds me, almost weekly, about what a dumb azz move it was to sell it.
It was a handful and required constant maintenance. I`m much happier (but much slower) now. . .

bojoe2 09-21-2007 04:47 PM

bouyhunter 09-21-2007 05:38 PM

I don't get all these guys that feel the need to swing their meat that " My boat is the fastest ?? footer, NA, ###ci, *** drive, that is white and blue with yellow stripes on the planet"
You want to be fastest anything?? Come talk to me if you're JT or the Bud Select crew, these guys are fast.

Hey, for me, you're fast if you're running over 70. You're also fast if you're running 50-60 - in a 4-5 foot chop:cool:

Good, wholesome entertainment. Can`t put a price on that. :food-smiley-007:

So ............ who is gonna step to the plate ? Remember, you need a 22' small block / Alpha boat to compete. :Whatever:

Chris Sunkin 09-21-2007 06:59 PM

Somebody with a 7 litre hydro should be able to give him a serious a$$ whipping.

He posted a video of his boat running on the hose. I guess that proves that he does indeed own a boat ....

excalibur32 09-25-2007 03:20 PM
