You can also fly out of HOU with SWA, into long island, don't know their schedules.... Wish I could give you a ticket and do your survey, but I'm just a driver (pilot) that also do surveys...

Ditto. Stay away from the others. ISP is a small but updated airport. SWA pretty well dominates that airport. You'll be glad not to fight traffic and BS flying into the other 2.

YUP your in and out in 2seconds compared to Kennedy or Lag and no traffic either.

Chris Sunkin 09-22-2007 08:18 AM

I fly Cleveland to Islip all the time. I can get into NYC for less than half the cost and it really doesn't take any longer. You can't beat your luggage to the carousel getting off a plane at Islip and you can either get a rental for substantially less or take a quick train ride into town.

Playn 09-22-2007 08:31 AM

fly to ISP

MitchStellin 09-22-2007 09:30 AM

He Keith, whats up. Getting ready to pull the boats yet? I think there are still some good weekends left, like this one.....I have a better idea of where I live now, I am between Comstock and Maplewood off of LSD. So far I have had a good time, I found the beach is dog friendly and take KC there almost every nite, I have to watch it though, I am dragging more sand into my truck and house than a kid with a bucket:D I still think about the weekend I went to your place, that was a nice time and KC misses your daughter, she had a blast with her. Hope to see you when the snow starts. Let me know if you need help with the docks and all, I can head up and help.....just call.

I think I'll stick with SWA since they are 5 times cheaper than you.:D

chuckbeecher 09-22-2007 10:14 AM

You also have Hartford or LGA with Southwest.
May actually be faster with SWA to Phl and drive up the Parkway. Your out of PHILLY IN MINUTES AND GOING NORTH.

I was thinking the same thing since i can't get a non-stop to ISP and it would eat up my whole day. I also have family in Philly and jersey so i may fly in the night before and take the train in the next morning. How is the weather going to be around october 10 or 13? Will it still be warm enough for a seatrial? That is the earliest i can get out there:violent-smiley-045:

SLOWOUTBOARD 09-22-2007 11:57 AM

If You Come Into Philly, drive Dont Take The Train You Will Have To Switch In Penn Station To Get To The Island.

Yeah the only drawback to ISP is very few non stop flights in or out.

Thanks i didn't know that. I called my dad and he just informed me that one of my uncles now lives in LI:cool-smiley-026:

cig1988 09-23-2007 04:10 AM

If you fly into Philli you'll eat up about 3 hours just getting into the Island. Depending on the time of day may be longer than that.

I haven't been there in a while but Philly airport has always been the most expensive in the region. Last time I tried, the flight from Cleveland was three times as much and the car rental was 5 times as much- I flew to Baltimore and drove to Philly. Nice 100 mile drive and I saved $800 bucks between the car and the flight.

Going great, i know you made the tickfaw 200 but you should come down for the gcoffshore poker run. Great time and a lot of local boats. I saw the town you were going to and thought you may be looking at a superboat. I'm also looking for something in the 28-32 foot range. The wife gave me the O.K. to get something bigger, so my boat is for sale and i am looking! Been looking at the supers, and some other ones.
