Nice boat, lots of room, and you can't go wrong with the hull design, it was designed by John Cosker @ Mystic powerboats!:ernaehrung004:

If your coming down to seatrial it, I'll trade ya lunch for a ride... Thats the only model in their lineup I havent been in...

cuda 09-25-2007 06:59 PM

The question could probably be answered better at www.floridasportsman.com. That's where the fishboat guys hang out. I don't think you could go wrong with a Donzi. :)

jhiguy377 09-25-2007 07:07 PM

looks great to me

tanner 09-25-2007 07:17 PM

Everyone quit lying to Dreamer... the boat Sucks, you are a high performance guy, if you want fish go to the supermarket !:D

sleek1 09-25-2007 07:20 PM

There must be something to them. A lot of guys are buying cc's. Or maybe we're all getting old-lol.

dreamer 09-25-2007 07:54 PM

new is out of the question.... unless a clearenance deal with 0% financing then MAYBE...

lookin for a nice 04 or 05 with trip 275 verados

dreamer 09-25-2007 07:56 PM

fountain 38 lx also.. but the multiple "upgrades/teaks" to the hull over the years makes resale ???????????

kind of like car model facelifts

glassdave 09-25-2007 08:21 PM

you wont be sorry with the Donzi. lots of room and great quality. i have a 38 zx and i believe its the same hull as the zsf, rides pretty good but the 9 foot plus beam makes it a bit harsh sometimes in bigger waves but not to bad, ya get use to it. its a good trade off for the extra room ya get with a wider boat

Good looking boats, but I always wondered if it would be weird looking out the windshield that far in front of you...kind of like driving your car from the back seat.

Heck yeah Dreamer! You can hang with Maryland Mark and I as the resident CC guys! I love my Fountain 38TE with triple 275 Verado's. It is a HUGE boat and I am thinking of downsizing to a smaller CC. I did a Labor Day poker run last year and had no problems keeping up in my Fountain CC I also passed a lot of so called go-fast rough water boats too. I arrived dry, comfortable, easy clean up and with fuel to spare and nothing broke!

I think you will go from being the "homo in the Cig. Playboy" to the "homo in the Donzi CC" :D

Cash Bar 09-25-2007 10:19 PM

And, oh yeah, buy the OSO Fountain CC, best deal on the market and you're always looking for a "deal".

FeverMike 09-26-2007 07:28 AM

I seriously can't believe the OSO Fountain 38TE is still for sale!

dirtlawyer 09-26-2007 07:37 AM

the guys at Lightning Bay Marine here in St. Pete had a 38 ZSF with triple 300 XS's and a double row of bolsters - fun boat to run - if I remember correctly it was running in the mid to upper 70's and absolutely crushing the waves/wakes.

Thunderstruck 09-26-2007 07:56 AM

I have a friend with the 30' version of that boat. Nice boat but is a wet ride offshore. Don't know if 38' is the same ride but I would ensure you have full canvas.
