Dowel pin size for Bomar deck hatch?
 

Would anybody happen to know the diameter of the dowel pin that Bomar uses in their deck hatch hinges? I've talked to them and they won't tell me any specs. They'll sell 'em to me at $4/each + S&H but I can get 'em from a local place quicker. It's been raining a bunch down here so I'm hesitant to get up there and "sacrifice" another pin.

The dowel pin just holds the adjustable strut into place on the hatch itself. I am missing one right now. I have the strut disconnected from the hatch and the hacth still lacthes shut. Another words the dowel pin has no bearing on the hatch having a tight seal. If you find out the correct size let me know as I will look for a few spares myself. I've had problems with these pins falling out.

No, I'm looking for the dowel pin that serves as a hinge for the lid itself. Without it, the lid is free to flop around a bit. I'll share what I find.
