Which would you buy?

Without considering any cost issues, which boat would you buy? 07 Sonic 31 ft twin 496ho's or an 07 292 Formula Fastech, with 6.2 small blocks.

tough question both I like and both have great quality. Personally I would probably go for the 31 Sonic with the twin 496s.

All depends on Graphics and colors. Formula has been a little color blind the past four or so years. Mixing colors that don't belong beside each other. Sonic has some real nice sceams and colors.

If I had to choose. Sonic

Sonic hands down given those choices.

The 31SS acts and performs a bit bigger boat than it is. It has a rock solid ride in bigger water (relatively speaking), and it handles VERY well. It has a BIG cabin for its size. It will allow you to put more time into this boat before you are ready for something bigger. In Sonic's hay-day, this was their most popular model.

Be aware though, its a heavy boat. You are going to need at LEAST a 3/4 ton tow vehicle.

*Not sure what your budget is, or timeframe, but click the link below and at least take a look at the 33 Active Thunder. We may be able to build you one. We are looking to build a sharp and well appointed 33AVH 496HO boat for the 2008 Miami Boat show.*

Formula out of your two choices.
Active Thunder if we are adding to the mix.

If the Formula has a windshield and you boat up north, then the Formula.

FRMULTR 09-27-2007 10:21 AM

Both boats are listed at the same weight,7000 lbs, although it does seem heavy for the Formula. And yes the half ton Avalanche wiil go in favor of a 3/4 ton truck.

Windshield not very effective, plus I've had the wind in my face for 8 years in my Daytona, so why change now.:boat:
