A special thanks to the new owner Michael MacKeller who bought my old " Lucky Strike " now called " Elite 1 ", for letting me run the F-2 Cigarette in the poker run the way I have always run it. Wide open all the time !

When I asked Michael how he wanted me to run his boat, his words were " PIN IT " My kinda guy !!

And thank you, Jeff Murray for pointing us in the right direction, for without you, we never would have been the 1st to boat to the 2nd card stop. It is definitely a team sport.

Great Pics Looks Like A Great Event, How Was The Water, Irepo Did You Run The Whole Event In Your 30?

Oh yeah! Long course! - You couldn't have had better conditions for a small boat than what we had Saturday morning. We were able to keep the speed over 60mph the entire course, maintained 70mph for quite some time, and topped around 80mph a couple times. It was sweet to be running alongside some of the bigger boats and keeping pace with them. I am really looking forward to doing this again next year.

Hey Repo Man! Was that you running next to me on the way to the island? I was in the 28 Pantera (white with purple/green/yellow stripe) and I think we ran together until I slowed down for that big Skater that broke.

I don't think that was me. I heard about the Skater but didn't see one broken down. Unless there is more than one 28' ft Pantera I am pretty sure I saw you coming out of Rainbow Harbor on Friday. I think you were docked nearly directly across from me.

Ah that's right. You've got the boat that's blue/yellow/white with quarter canopies. I think it was an older Eliminator that I was running with.

Ted Barnes was in a Fountain 42 running the short course to Newport, he too was the first boat to that first stop for the short course guys...so for both runs the leading boat was a 42 Fountain, I'm sure Reggie will dig that :rolleyes:

I'd bet you'll never hear any cuddos on this from the Fountain camp. Reggie only gives props to his own PR monsters or those that stroke him. Look at "on the chip" racing. Kick'n ass and never get any love from the factory.:rolleyes:

Anyway, congrats to Jay and Ted. Impressive when there was no shortage of bad azz, 150+ mph cats there.
