Default East vs. West - Boat Builders

Been browsing around for another boat and wondered if anyone else sees the same things....

Eastern US Boats/ Great Lakes and Ocean proven boats....

Western US Boats/ Mostly boats tested and designed to run on lakes....

Is there really that big of a difference between the two?

Masher,
Kinda seems that way to me also. Seems to me that most boaters in CA or AZ head to the Big lakes to boat, not the ocean, except for Phantom Chaos!

Most of the well known East Coast boats can trace their lineage to 188th Street, most of the the well known West Coast boats can trace their lineage to a jet boat, or a flat bottom V-drive running somewhere inland in CA, or AZ.

Love the way the left side guy's spray the bilge w/ white gelcoat and then web them with colored gelcoat. It makes a nice dirty bilge. Or putting carpet in the floors over plywood and carpet / interior in the engine compartment???

Ah the beauty of the OSO and irony of this discussion in this thread... We've got a guy from FL who owns a Nordic and a guy from CA who owns a Pantera both making fun of Nort's Formula!

I'm pretty sure he just left it tied to the dock and broke the TV in a drunken rage, a la Elvis! (Sorry Nort!)
