I bought a kit from Target several years ago, and it has held up surprisingly well. It is a hard sided flip open case though. I also keep a small Craftsman socket kit on board big enough to remove prop nuts. I think its about 10 pieces.
Sears Lowes Home Depot Harbor Freight ...all carry a lot of bags and tools options. |
All these bags look and work good EXCEPT I think you would want to have your boat tool bag display the new OSO logo which is sewn into the bag.

For over 30 years I have used EMT bags and they work great
and when I travel they go right with me, Its harder with all the new rules and they can get very heavy. I did a lot of work for the Navy any hauled them every place. They are heavy canvas with a lot of pockets, I still use the first on I bought, Its a little dirty but no rips or holes. The people with the Hi-Price boats really like to see tool bags that wont scratch the Gel-Coat. Mike J. |

I carry a soft tool case from Sears in the boat. Folds in half and zips closed. About the size of a bible. (Or so I'm told. ;) ) Downside is the sockets always come out of the elastic straps that hold them in their locations. Unzip it, open it, they all fall out. :) The OSO bag looks great, but where do the sockets go?

I have always used laptop cases. Lots of pockets, just buy tools that come in blow molded cases.
