New 43' Eliminator Eagle XP
We're getting some quality seat time with the new 43' Eliminators. Latest runs include the SCOPE Poker Run out of Long Beach and some Photo Shoot runs at Lake Havasu this week.
http://www.hotboatpics.com/pics/data...0_Dsc_0100.jpg http://www.scopeinfo.com/images/2007...2/_W2Z7727.JPG The Orange/Red 43' ran 106.7 on Merc 700s with NXT drives. The Harrah Red/Black/Grey 43' ran 127.8 Monday afternoon on Lake Havasu. Power comes from Merc 1075s with #6 drives and 16.5" x 35p 5 blade Cleavers. We will have the Orange/Red at the Ft Lauderdale show Oct 25th - Oct 29th. |
I'll tell you this much....
A) I'm a big fan of Larry Smith hulls B) I was a little dissapointed when I saw the original pics of the Orange/Red one (first one popped for Eliminator) C) I saw it in person at the SCOPE poker run and it is absolutely an AWESOME boat. In person the colors do it justice. And those little NXT drives in the staggard formation are just bad azz. I just hope Eliminator doesn't decide to put that goofy canopied deck on it like they did with the 38. That boat has perfect lines the way it sits right there. Impressive #'s by the way. It's a big boat. Where's the pics of the cabin/cockpit? |
I am not impressed with the paint scheme as I have seen on this post and another picture I saw before. It makes the boat look cheap although we know it's not.
|
At 127mph how could you not want canopies-(what's Tank know...)
very nice all the way around - the gel is awsome ! The 43 was/is always an awesome runing hull- now with a modern touch of Eliminator updates it hard to beat |

Dont get all butt hurt because your last two boats had canopies. Both of those boats look good.

Those boats would be a nice east coast boat if they had just a little more free board and cabin height.Looks like they did a great job!
|
More pix from SCOPE...

More inside stuff...the cabin areas are "unfinished" / race mode for now. Both will get a flushing head, A/C, and other amenities.

That's them....I personally don't like the canopy and the way the deck accentuates the canopies. It clashes with the Vee hull's pointed bow. Looks good on a cat with the two sponsons, just doesnt look good on a vee (imho). Except the Donzi. They managed to make it look decent.
|
CANOPIES ARE GREAT AT 100 PLUS ALL DAY NO WIND BURN, THE DESIGNS ON ELIMINATORS ARE GEL COAT NOT PAINT VERY FEW PEOPLE CAN DO GRAFFIXS IN GEL, SEVERAL CAN DO PAINT GRAFFIXS I CANT COUNT HOW MANY, I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL STUNNING PAINT JOBS AND KUDOS TO THOSE THAT HAVE THEM, GEL COAT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT WORLD.:cool-smiley-027:
|
Personaly I Would Put Canopies On The 43 It Looks Terrific, Canopies As An Option We Will See,
|
or even a Nor Tech 3600 type windshield would work nice.
|
Eliminator can spray some nice gelcoat, that's for sure.
Sweet looking rigs! Dean |

Those are very impressive speeds. Full 43' w/ no platform. Are they vacume bagged?
|
shueman,
How are you all making out with the fires....everyone OK? |
Those are really good speeds for that hull. I know when I spoke with LS 2 years ago Jack from Pacific Marine had a 43 LS with 1200's he was at low 120's. That has to be about the faster twin step or any stepped bottom stand-up boat with a full cabin on the market. I think that's even a couple mph faster than OL 46 5 step carbon boat.
|
Just out of curiosity, did you run those speeds with a finished cabin??
|
I was told by Jack from Pacific Marine & by Dan Archer that the Pacific Marine boat's cabin had not been finished. The cabin door was on but the int. & seats & lighting was not in the boat. Again with 1200's they was in the low 120's.

When is Powerboat going to run the 1075 boat? I pulled out a couple old issues & the 43 Donzi with 1075's ran 114 & the 46 carbon OL ran 124.5. I would like to see what speed they get out of the Larry Smith boat. Seeing how that bottom was designed in early 2000 & 2001. If that boat is that fast with like power that means LS was 7-8 years ahead of everyone else including the all mighty Fountain.:p
|
After seeing these pic's of the Yellow and Red 43 ft. Eliminator Eagle. I changed my mind about how cheap the paint job looked. The closeup shot's of the boat look great.

I talked to them at the SCOPE run about a higher deck / more freeboard. I was told that they are looking into doing one like that. Like Tank said, they look beautiful up close and nobody does gel like the westcoast custom guys. |
The New LS Eliminator 43'
I was wondering how the boats we're layed up vacume bagged etc.?
|
That's a great hull. The other pics are not that of canopies but round windshields. In a stuff or being thrown in them can be dangerous. I saw the Roll Off guy in St Pete get seriously hurt when he was tossed into the round windshield and it broke. It almost cut his arm off I believe.
