I was wondering the same thing. Must be a mistake because i don't think somebody in the Coast Guard would be happy about a marine casualty like this. Kirk Larsen who owns that boat is a good friend of mine from my years in the Scallop business.

Tell me something Cap....I know down here on the Gulf Coast we have shoals that shift on a regular basis but the Coasties pretty much keep up with the placement of bouys and/or day markers. I am curious why there is not a red bouy at the start of that shoal on the oceanside as well as the inlet side. Does is shoal shift that fast that it can't be marked? Just curious......

Chuck

I went out and then back in that Inlet on a Polaris PWC many years ago. There is nothing friendly about that pass. I thought I was invincible back then.

Anyone know if they moved it yet? Thinking about taking a ride over there to check it out.
