That is just too close. THere is no easy solution. Plugging the transom is about all you can do if you really want small blocks. I hate to even suggest it but a pair of 3.0L would probably run as well as the old inline 6's.

One other thing that comes to mind, and I really have no idea if they would fit would be a short stagger V6 set up.

Charlie, I know the hull was out of the same mold as the Banana, but was the same stringer/bulkhead configuration used.
