New to the board.
 

Hello all.
I am new to the board and wnted to introduce myself..
I frequent other boating boards so you may already reecognize the name.
I have a 1988 Mirage Intruder..22 ft.. 350 roller motor, edlebrock intake and carb.. boat is in decent condition.. I am somewhat new to this type of power boat.. family always had cruisers.. hiting 55 mph is alot different than being 5 ft off the water. trying to plane a 30 ft 7500lb behemoth..

Anyways.. Cheers for now..

Welcome . Good to see some more boaters from the great white north . 2007 must have been one of the best boating seasons ever . Now that it's over what sports do you spend your winter months doing ?

Welcome ot OSO. Looks like you are out of Barrie? I run Simcoe and Couch often. Family place on Garnet Island north of the narrows.

Be sure to check out the great lakes and Canada forum. Lots of us hosers here.



PS, Bagger, this season sucked. Maybe because its the first time in over 20 years I had no boat in the water. :)

Next season will be better for sure.

Thats a good one.. although there are some freaky sites out there with lots oif children.. I have been lucky on the boating sites I have joined as of late.

Actually, this site is the most informitive site I've found, and I've made some great friends here. But, there is plenty of wildness, and weirdness ( remember Ratman and his postings in UC...)
The next thing you need to do is pony up a couple $$ for a real membership, (I'm not advertising, or promoting) but you are missing 3/4 of the site being only registered. It took me a year lurking before I bought in, but it is well worth it. The show here never ends...

so do I make my cheque payable to " boyhunter" cause that will look funny on my cheque at the bank...

You didn't read very well, I mentioned that I was not advertising, or promoting, But, I was giving you a suggestion to be a paying member, because as only being registered, you are missing quite a bit.
Jokes are certainly allowed, but, before you throw out a dig at someone, get to know them. I have a sense of humor, and I like to cut-it-up on the board here just like many of the other guys. But, get to know them first.
I could have attacked your name and posted a picture of a sexual device named "the Intruder" - instead, I welcomed you to the site, and tried to enlighten you to what you are missing.
I didn't see much humor in a complete stranger that I'm welcoming and trying to help/guide taking a shot at me.

Intruder , you had a much smoother welcoming party over at Speedwake , eh . So how's your crappy Mirage with the bellows issue [ J/K , this is Mirage257 from SW ] ? Did you check your distributor yet ?

Hey Mirage 257.. nice to see a familar face...

The boat comes out today.. winterizing, and an outdrive going over..will replace u joints, gimble bearings, and bellows.. oh and an impeller.. plus check alignment and real seal er up...I figure better safe than sorry..I am goign to take down all serial numbrs and pot to see just what outdrive I have..
