12V coffee maker

Does anybody make a 12 Volt coffee maker for a boat?

Edward R. Cozzi 10-18-2007 06:45 AM

Why yes they do!

A company called Vector makes one that has a list price of $42.87.

I have no experience with this unit, so I don't know how good it works. Good Luck.

Ditto. It has many uses. A coffee maker only has one.

If anyone has a catalog of uses for small electrical appliances onboard a boat, my bet is it's you.

Check any truck stop / Travel America.
They'll have all kinds of 12v stuff and inverters.
Alot cheaper than if it has the word "marine" associated with it in way, shape, or form.:D

I have a couple 40qt thermoelectric coolers for trade shows. Bought them at a TA truck stop they had the cheapest price, picked up an inverter as well. They even beat Walmart on this car/truck/boat portable electric chit.........

I bought a 12v coffeemaker a few years ago... thought it would be a good idea for the boat or in the car on long trips. Got it at Camping World or some big RV warehouse.

No good.

Takes about 45 minutes to warm up! (the ones above may be different).

The best thing I found was a single burner propane unit to boil water for coffee. Very quick, uses one of the small propane bottles and the unit breaks down nearly flat for easy storage. I'll see if I can find it and take a picture.

Plus, it obviously has other uses...

I would put an inverter in 1000w-1200w wire it to the battery and install the inverter under the back seat. I did this and it works great just bring a regular blender or coffee maker and your good to go:ernaehrung004:
