Default Lakes around Charlotte

I am planning a trip to the Charlotte/Pinehurst area of NC next year. Anyone that could offer help in boating lakes in that area? Performance minded, speed limits and/or noise issues would help greatly too. NASCAT are you listening?

Lake Norman has no speed limit. As for noise just watch out going into Midtown. I was given a warning while having lunch there with my GTX.

Lake Norman is awesome. I was there once and had a great time. I hope I get another chance to come back soon.

Lake Norman is very low at this time. Be careful. No rain lately.

Let's hope by next year when you plan your trip we get some rain. I would not go out right now (and haven't since around the end of July). Hey Strip my lil ride isn't that loud. Compared it to XXX with the shorty's up through the hatch it's almost mellow.

I use Pinacle Piont on hwy. 150 & have used Blythe Landing on hwy. 73. Pinacle is not as crowded & has all long docks. I have not messed with any marinas I do all my own work.
