Sounds like a great new scam for a certain florida snowbird marina to try.

Everything else has been done already, double billing, billing for work not done etc. This is a new twist on things!

Sorry to hear it.

Hi and dry storage usually includes a contract, I have seen some unreasonable terms before. You should review what you signed. Hopefully it works out OK. Good Luck.

If you dispute charges they cannot hold your boat, simply call a peace officer out to your location and he/she will oversee the release, it is a civil matter from the point you dispute on. Unless they have a legal lien already imposed they can do nothing, get your boat back now while you can!

in Florida, the boatyard/marina's lien is automatic....peace officer cannot assist in taking boat out of yard without a court order.....
