Dudes and dudets.

if you are going to dive the you want to do it in key largo at John penecamp state park. Some of the best diving i have done.I don't think the diving is that good in the keys.
|
Thanks for the info. By U.
I will check into the sites. WE are not sure where we going and when. BTW. I have the Formula 272 LS up for sale. |
I actually did a fantastic dive at the tower right outside the harbor in KW. Saw 2 sharks and a bunch of invertebrates along with some spinys. The dive shop was right there on the main drag as you make the turn, we had like 12 people on the boat, nice half day dive, I'll try and get a name for you.
|
Oh yeah, I got a line on a room if you need it too, PM me.
|
Thanks inspetch..
:violent-smiley-045: The last thing i want is sharks. THe rest sounds good. IM / PM on the way. |
we dove there last year off the reef in Key West and swam with a few sharks

southpoint divers, sub tropic divers, ask your hotel concierge.

Key west diving is out. Tortuga diving is in. (I was told it's prestine.) 70 Miles South of KW. Anyone else interested?
|
Check with Thrillseeker. He goes to the Keys every winter and spends almost a month down there. He knows a lot of the good spots to dive throughout the keys
|
Another place is Tildens Dive Center in Marathon. Its on the right going toward KW and he used to be a diver for APBA. Great guy and I have dived with him 4-5 times.
|
My friends/associates will stop in Marathon, the way down. They can't make the THursday run. I will let them now about that place.
Thanks P |
KW is ok for stateside diving. I've dove there on several vacations. A couple of good wrecks and some tongue and groove formations. My wife and I are thinking about the Tortugas for a day.

Abyss dive center in Marathon.

We fly in this Saturday, so have a few days to play around. I'm checking out the Tortugas right away. Taking the lap top so I'll let you know.
|
Since Dreamer scheduled his fishing expedition on Friday  I have no plans other than the races. If you go to Tortugas, I'd be in.
|
It would be great to have a few boats. (so I won't get lost. he he he ) :) The more the better.
We are planning a Saturday trip. I don't think there is any race on Sat. |
A bunch of the TX gang are doing a trip to the Dry Tortugas on the Yankee Freedom 8AM - 5PM on Fri $139/person, they tell me they have 50 poker runners attending, and room for 50 more. You can bring a cooler!

I'm flying over to the Dry Tortugas for a half day tour and snorkeling. The sea plane flies about 500' above the water. $200/person.

Thanks Rebel
We prefer diving. My friends/associates are die hard divers as I am a boater. Thay are flying in for the dive more then the races and boating events. I hope my GPS works well. :) |
