Red face roooster tails

So I have this "friend" and he asked me even though tails are not that great to do .. He was wondering how one would do it with out wrecking the drive..

Ill let him no of any replies..
He has a single drive..I think he thinks the correct way is to find a good speed... lift drive up but not letting the prop raise up out of the water or the cooling holes int he drive coming up near the surface..

" he " says they look so cool...

Talking

Tell your friend to get a jetboat if he's into roostertails .
He could trim up the place diverter nozzle as high as he
wants without wrecking anything .

those come from having a high X dimension. you cant really fake that without stressing the heck out'a the gimbal bearing and drive shaft.

Ditto what cuda says. A true surface drive is the best way to get you there. You'll just tear up a standard bravo.

I'm looking hard at a Formula 400ss with Diesels . And I can't stop thinking how cool that boat would be with surface drives.
I gain a lot of creature comforts loose some speed but the rooster tails sure would look cool .
