I was told like 140-145 or so on Daves old boat??

I have 1150's and I will tell you it does waaayyyyy north of 120,lol. Predator has seen 173 in his 40. They might not be the absolute best Skater pound for pound, but they can run.

140-145mph sounds more realistic for 1150's, thats respectable for a 40'. hopefully weather will be ok next week and we can get Recovery out, Sean what do you mean could'nt see you, was running back with Dave a 150mph, where was your boat,

A 40' skater in the 1998 powerboat with merc 900's (keep in mind it had old style skegs then, with wet-sump drives), and it went 140.2mph in the magazine.

I think you are still a little short. At 140 I am only at 6300 w/35's. I'm not on the chip until 7000, which is pretty easy to get to.
