Your budget will define the boats you look at. I don't have the money tree that people have talked about. Has I said I looked for about 2 years for what my next boat would be. My list of boats I looked at was Cigarette used, MTI used, Skater used Nor-tech new & used, Outerlimits used, Larry Smith Scarab used & having a new one built. If your looking for a boat with med.-big power your going to spend 200-500 depending on new or used & production or custom. I have a 20 year back ground of working on race winning & championship winning Nextel cup cars & I looked at boats using the same thought process I have with building racecars. You should look at any & all brands for yourself & look at the horse's mouth (& lift the tail). The dealers may not like you crawling around & under there boats but when you do you'll find some interesting things. I chose Outerlimits for alot of reasons. But, that is my pick & I'm sure I made the right chose for me.

if $ werent an object...39 Cigarette Unlimited with 850's and 6's for a V and for a cat would be a 39 MTI with the same power, or a 32 Doug Wright with 700's and NXT's

Don't forget about a Fountain 35 ex the can be had clean couple of years old for around 100k.I am happy with my Formula but when I step up to a 35 or 38 it will be a Fountain

If I had the Green Light today. Let's say a used 29 to 35ft boat. Late 80's early 90's or newer for less than 60,000. I would say this would be the high limit. I no where a 1989 31 Cigarette Bullet for about 38000. That I thought looked a good deal for a good boat, with twin 330hp 454's with supposedly 5 hours on the rebuild and 400 hours on the boat, it had bravo's. Thats just 4,000 dollars more than what I paid for my Cobalt. Something in this age/price range would be perfect.

Best two offshore big water boats are Apache and Sutphen.

Make sure you run that particular Bullet that you just mentioned through the Cigarette forum here on OSO. There is a boat that loosely fits that description that happens to be a big POS that a few OSO members have brought up over in the past few years.

Look in the cig forum. That boat is pretty rough and will take some money to big it back. I think it is under powered with 330's. I think you are better off spending more money up front and in the long run you will be farther ahead.
